Mombasa secondary school for the physically handicapped is a boys boarding and day public secondary school which school began in 1983, and officially opened in January 1985 by His Excellency the President Mwai Kibaki as purely a school for learners with physical disabilities.
The school began integration program in 1994 with the intention of giving learners with special needs an opportunity to interact with their peers who are able and get the opportunity of learning from one another. The school is managed by Board of Management whose current chairman is Mr. Steven Ogwapit and PTA under the chairmanship of Mr. Richard Makori. The current school principal is Mr. Moses Manoah. The school has 19 TSC employed teachers and 2 BOM teachers and 20 support staffs.
The aim of the school was to provide secondary education for the deserving Physically Challenged students, by ensuring an enabling and conducive environment for Physical and Mental faculties of the Handicapped students. The school started with an enrollment of 40 students.
The school prides itself ranking on top in languages and sciences despite the their disability.
